There’s a real pedigree to Watergate as a label, not some blank slate imprint, and this one does what it says on the tin. It’s not flashy, but it does the one thing well, keep you locked in the groove. Watergate doesn’t put out much that isn’t at least competent, and this is a solid addition.

The track itself is a clean, functional house cut. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, and it doesn't need to. A crisp top line and a rolling low end do the heavy lifting, and it all sits in that comfortable pocket between the floor and the headphones.
