Chris Luno - Calmy
On Spotify and Apple Music.
Chris Luno's 'Calmy' has actual movement in the chord progression, it moves somewhere across the four minutes. Anjunadeep's secondary imprint Explorations continues to be a farm team for the main label's more melodic side, a running theory of mine. Track two 'Slowly' is just... there. Same chords the whole way, doesn't go anywhere. Track two strikes again.
Theory watchA hit for the theory, 1-for-2 now. 'Slowly' sits on the same chords the whole way and never goes anywhere, exactly the track two the theory expects.
